Cost For My Service

For lost items... I work for the reward you want to pay to get your item(s) recovered. I have a $35 call-out fee, this covers my fuel expense, maybe more or less depending on where you are located (call to discuss).

You determine the amount of the reward based on what the lost item is worth to you.

If requested, an emergency response fee of $100 is additional for after hours. We will discuss all details and mutually agree on any fees to execute your recovery request. Emergency and/or Call-out fees are billed upon acceptance of assignment and are non-refundable if cancelled or if the item is not recovered, this basically covers my fuel expenses. My preferred payment methods are cash or Venmo. I also accept Zelle and PayPal.

I will search for anything so please do not hesitate to ask.

Search Types

I search land be it dry, wet, snow, ice or shallow waters of private property, public property including city/town parks (*), county parks (*), state parks (*), national parks (*) and designated historical sites (*)

Note: (*) = Written permission may be required by rule or law. I will assist but the requester is responsible for obtaining any permits if required.

I am available for assignments involving estate, insurance claims and law enforcement evidence recovery.

Client confidentiality is promised if requested.

Search Locations

Winston-Salem, Forsyth County including North Carolina counties of Stokes, Yadkin, Davie, Davidson and Wilkes. Travel to additional counties (i.e. Western North Carolina and South West Virginia) is negotiable.

Brad Trogdon's Bio

My name is Brad, and I am a married father of 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. An amateur radio operator for over 35 years and have loved anything involving electronics since early teens. Previously volunteered with local emergency services agencies. I detect almost daily and beyond personal exercise benefits have found many lost items in local spaces and constantly searching across social media to return them to their owners. I absolutely love stories of other detectorists returning missing items and helping others.

Discovering TheRingFinders.com registry was a no-brainer that I would cease the opportunity to make myself available and assist in the recovery of lost items. I have specialty equipment with capability of locating precious metals, jewelry (including but not limited to rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, pendants, etc.)

I also have equipment capable of deep detecting and would love the opportunity to search your property for historical relics. No fees for historical searching... Please share with family and friends that would allow me to search their properties.

I follow detecting code of ethics, respecting archeology, private property, and history preservation. I always leave properties cleaner than when I arrived and dig with technique to minimize damage to turf when opening holes to recover items.
