17 August 2025. About three weeks ago I recovered a man’s wedding ring for Dave at a local private beach. Dave had been referred to me by Bill, and today Bill gave me another call for help. This time a guest, Maggie, had lost her diamond engagement and wedding rings, most likely at the same […]

12 August 2015. Nickey was enjoying a day at the beach with her children, but she was devastated when she realized that her beautiful custom-made engagement & wedding ring was missing from her hand. Fellow beach goers helped her search for it with no result. Beach sand, whether dry, wet, or under water can hide […]

Metal Detecting Recovery and Return of Wedding Band, Falmouth Heights Beach, Massachusetts, by Brian Tucholke (2025)
2 August 2025. Sean’s white and yellow gold wedding band went flying from his finger as he was tossing a ball in belly-deep water at the beach. He tried diving with goggles to search but it proved fruitless. This is usually the case, as a heavy gold ring will sink quickly into soft sand, especially […]

I still can’t believe Brian found my ring. If you lose something important to you on a Falmouth beach, Brian is your guy! (2025)
I have to admit I was very skeptical when my wife suggested I reach out to Brian to help look for my ring. I thought that the ocean takes what it wants and rarely gives it back.
When I called Brian he was great! He was able to meet us at the beach with 30 minutes of the call. He was very professional and systematic with his approach. Every time he dug into the sand my hopes shot through the roof only to dashed by a bottle cap or some other random item.
The good news was I generally knew where on the beach and in water I was the previous day. After 20 minutes searching on the beach Brian moved to the water itself. He asked me questions that I had a relatively good handle on. Within another 20 minutes and after his shovel dug into the water a few times, I resigned myself to it being a hopeless exercise.
Finally, Brian came up to me telling me that the sand under the water past the lip where I was swimming was very loose. I took this to mean that he decided to call it quits (which I didn’t blame him). But then he showed me the contents of his shovel and mixed in with some shells and rocks was my grandfather’s ring!
After a few days since the discovery, I still can’t believe Brian found my ring. If you lose something important to you on a Falmouth beach, Brian is your guy! I can’t thank him enough.
5 stars!

Brian, words can’t describe how grateful I am to you for finding my ring. I was completely devastated thinking that it was gone forever. You are an angel on earth for what you did for me that day. Old Silver Beach is my happy place and I kept thinking how I’d never be able to come here again because I would only be sad, but you made it so it remains my happy place! Thank you again so much!!

Thanks for saving our July 4th Brian! (2024)
Brian spared no effort in his search —I was incredibly impressed by his tenacity. While I was distressed about the ring, I was able to enjoy my day on the beach knowing that someone with experience was doing everything he could to locate it. Even when I was ready to give up, Brian was not! After 26 years of marriage, that ring held great significance to me and I don’t know what I would’ve done if it wasn’t recovered! Thanks for saving our July 4th Brian!

Huge thank you to Brian for doing what I thought was impossible and re-uniting me with the ring. (2022)
I lost my gold wedding band and got in touch with Brian late in the evening to see if he would take the job. He said yes, but there was a huge storm overnight and I was only able to meet him the following morning to give him a search area on land and in the water before I had to leave for home.
He took in all the info, made judgements about where it was most likely to be and got to work. As we left he was in the ocean working back and forth in his search grid. When I got an email later that day that he found it I was flabbergasted. I couldn’t stop smiling. Huge thank you to Brian for doing what I thought was impossible and re-uniting me with the ring.

Dear Brian,
Thank you so much for finding my husband’s wedding ring. As I said when we spoke on the phone after you found it, I knew you were the one that was going to find it.
We had both been heartbroken over the loss of this sentimental piece of jewelry all week but were hopeful that somehow, someway it could be found.
You were our miracle and we are so grateful to you and your passion for wanting to help people find their lost treasures.

I was impressed with your attention to detail and methodical searching... (2022)
Dear Brian,
Wow! I’m so grateful you found it. I felt such a fool for losing my wedding ring in the sea. Jo and I were realistic that the chance of you discovering it was slim, especially considering the size of the search area in 5ft deep water.
You were so kind to come quickly and meet me at the beach and I was impressed with your attention to detail and methodical searching. I was thrilled when you called the next day to tell me you had rescued my ring from the depths of Cape Cod waters.
I’m so grateful to you and Ringfinders. Your perseverance and genius with a metal detector has inspired us to buy one for our family.
Thank you again!

Our family will never forget you. You made our summer! (2022)
Thank you very much for finding and returning our ring Brian. When the ring was lost back in 2018 my wife and I thought it was gone forever. We searched the beach for days with no luck. When Laura saw your Facebook post, 4 years later, she was speechless. It seemed too good to be true but within an hour the ring was back on my finger.
