Steve Chesshir's Bio

Married 35 yrs. I have been MD for over 25 yrs. My wife also MD with me. I am a small business owner. I am a member of the SAAMDC (san Antonio metal detecting club and the TAMDC (texas association metal detecting club). I am also a member of the Bandera County Historical Committee since 2017. I have also worked on several old homestead projects in my area assisting the property owner in recovering historical artifacts and ID them properly for preservation. My passion for metal detecting comes from the desire to save and restore historical artifacts that would otherwise be lost forever. Likewise, seeing people with a big smile on their faces when I can find their lost ring or necklace, brings a lot of joy to me and makes it all worth it. I can also do estate property searches. Very experienced at shallow water river and lake recovery. Most of the rings I find have been in the water. I have MD all over Texas and Louisiana. In jan of 2020, I was part of a MD team that hunted a civil war battlefield in central LA. We found numerous bullets, tokens, buttons, and coins. I carry all the latest technology in metal detecting on land or in the water.
