Beautiful Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Trenton, NJ!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Owen was referred to me by fellow Ring Finder John Favano. Owen was convinced that his 2 year old 14k gold wedding band fellow off his finger somewhere between his truck and the 2nd story porch of his apartment in Trenton, NJ. After parking he put his ring temporarily on his pinky as he carried a heavy moving blanket from his truck to his apartment. When he got to his apartment he went out on porch and fluffed out the blanket and hung it on the railing…immediate after he noticed his ring was no longer on his pinky. He looked for hours and even borrowed a friends metal detector before reaching out to a pro for help. I arrived at his place and immediately scanned the grass where he walked from his truck to his apartment…no luck. Then we looked under, around and beneath 2nd story porch…no luck. Then we simulated the loss by recreating the movement of putting blanket across railing with another ring …it showed the ring could have flown further out into backyard. After 50 minutes of search time….we were ready to give up…when boom!!!! there it was! Farther than where we could have imagined it flew from 2nd story porch! I was very happy…and Owen was very relieved….to have his ring back on his finger!!!

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Newark, DE!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Zac contacted me via text message Wed night after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. That evening he was on the street in his front of his house in Newark, DE…he picked up a stick and went to throw it and he saw and felt his gold wedding band fly off his finger…he heard one distinct “ting” where it hit street somewhere but he never saw the direction it went. He searched for hours with his eyes and rakes/brooms before reaching out to me. I told him I would be there first thing the following morning. I originally thought this would be a quick job…the ring bounced once on street and then into the grass across the street but nope…it wasn’t in the grass across the street. This is where ring finding and metal detecting experience counts! I told Zac to go grab a metal washer…we’re going to re-enact the crime…I had Zac stand where he was with washer in his left hand (he was left handed) and pretend to throw stick again and let washer fly…guess what? it didn’t fly across the street it actually flew toward his home on the opposite side. There wasn’t any grass on that side…just some mulched beds with some shrubbery. I proceeded to scan under the first shrub I came to and immediately heard the signal I was looking for…a gold ring on the surface has a very unique signature on metal detector! I bent down and lifted the low branches of the shrub…and there was his beautiful gold ring!!! With Zac 10 feet away ..I held the ring up with a triumphant look….OMG the look of relief on his face was priceless! Its so fun and rewarding to be able to come through for people…I was so happy to get the ring back on Zac’s finger!!!

Diamond Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Trevose, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Tyler was referred to me by fellow Ring Finder John Favano. He contacted me after his diamond/gold wedding band came up missing after washing his car in his front yard in Trevose, PA. He searched the grass for hours himself…even purchasing a metal detector before deciding to call in a professional. It just so happens I was in that area for work and I never leave home without my trusty metal detector in the car. He called at 3 pm….I was at his home at 5 pm. While his friend and neighbor Gary cheered me on (Tyler was at work) … I began my search. A gold band on the surface has a very unique signal on a metal detector….I also set my machine for “gold only”. I was at it for about 5-10 minutes…lots of signals but not the one I was listening for. All of a sudden there it was…the signal I was looking for. Before even bending down I told Gary….there it is. I bent down and dug around in the deep grass….and yes there it was!!! I immediately texted Tyler a pic of his precious ring and got a immediate reply “INCREDIBLE…THANK YOU SO MUCH!” I was very happy to come through for Tyler!!!

Sentimental Silver Ring Lost, Recovered and Returned in Philadelphia, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Daniel reached out to me via text meassage after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. His girlfriend, Maia, lost a treasured and very sentimental silver ring in Washington Square Park in center city Philadelphia. Apparently Maia felt the ring slip off and fall into the grass but after searching for hours they just could not find. I told them I would meet them at the park the following am…I showed up at the park with my Minelab Equinox Detector with the small 6 inch coil (trashy park?) and they showed me we where they were standing when she felt the ring slip off. It was about a 15×15 foot search area…on my 3rd pass I was delighted to get the signal I was searching for…I looked down and there in the grass was her beautiful silver ring! Without bending over I called Maia over and pointed at the ground…with a smile and relief on her face she said “yep…that’s it!”  I was so happy to be able to help get the treasured ring back on her finger

Sentimental, White Gold Diamond Stud Earring Lost, Recovered and Returned in Philadelphia, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Daniel found me in The Ring Finders directory after losing a very sentimental white gold, diamond stud earring while playing beach volleyball in Philadelphia, PA. The pair of earrings were given to him years before by his parents. Anyone who has been around metal detecting for a while, especially us Ring Finders,  knows that finding stud earrings with any metal detector can be a challenge…and honestly this search put all my skills to the test. Diamond stud earrings are just so small and have such little metal on them they are hard to pick up with any machine. I met Daniel and brought 2 of my 4 machines…I brought the new highly advanced Minelab Manticore with a 15 inch coil and my Minelab Equinox 800 with the 6 inch coil. The nice thing is that Daniel had an identical earring still in his possession so I could scan it and see if either of my machines would pick it up.  I placed the earring on the ground and tried scanning it with the Manticore…NOTHING! Couldn’t get a peep with sensitivity all the way up in any mode! Then tried the Equinox not a peep in my usual modes…field or park. Then i switched the Equinox to gold prospecting mode and bam….was able to get it pretty good….VDI 1-2 up to 4-5 inches away from the coil. I started  scanning the beach volleyball court…in  short order i actually found 2 other earring backs…neither from Daniel’s earring…but at least I had the machine settings right. I probably dug 15-20 tiny bits of tin foil…amazing how sensitive the machine was behaving. I was at it for 55 minutes and committed to Daniel I would search for an hour. I stopped and asked him one more time where he was standing when a ball hit his ear and knocked the earring out….I would use the last 5 minutes in that area. With 60 seconds to spare I’m going to dig this one last signal …..BOOM….There was his beautiful diamond earring…in all my years I don’t think i whooped and hollered as I did right then! I was so happy to be successful and be able to get Daniel’s precious earring back in his possession!!!

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Media, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Ron texted me after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. He was doing some yard work at his home in Media, PA when his 45 year old gold wedding band slipped off his finger. He was 85% sure it fell off in his backyard. He had searched himself for 2-3 hours before calling a professional. I agreed to meet him the next day and upon my arrival he walked me through the area where he thought in fell off. A gold wedding band on the surface has a very unique signal…I also have the ability to zero in my machine on just gold signals. It was quite a large search area…but I started in the area where he spent the most time. 3-4 minutes into the search I received the signal I was hoping for…looked down…and there was his beautiful gold wedding band shining up at me!!! I called Ron  over and to say he was amazed and happy would be an understatement! I was so happy I was able to get his ring back on his finger!!!

Diamond Earring Lost, Recovered and Returned in Wayne, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Chris found me in The Ring Finders directory and dropped me a text. Apparently his wife, Molly, lost a very sentimental earring following breakfast at a local restaurant in Wayne, PA. Prior to meeting them at the restaurant later that day, Chris conveyed to me the following details. Molly had been eating breakfast with some friends and while at the table she felt her earring fall off…she picked it up and thought she put it securely back in her ear…but when she got to her car a few minutes later it was not there. They spent several hours searching for it in the parking lot. On the phone I told them that if it fell off in the gravel parking lot it was just as likely they would find it with their eyes vs with a metal detector because it would be right on the surface. They still wanted me to come search. I met them at the restaurant and prior to getting my detector out of car we walked the parking lot as Molly described how she thought the loss occurred. I then went to get my machine out of the car so I could scan the one earing she still had and then begin the search. Well…while walking back to them after grabbing my detector I was hyper focused on scanning the ground…like most of us Ring Finders do…and sure as heck…there was her beautiful earring!!! No metal detector necessary!!! I walked up to Molly and asked her to stick her hand out…confused…she did so…and I dropped her lost earring in her hand. Her and her husband were so full of surprise and joy that the lost earring was back in their possession!!!

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Fort Washington, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Received a text from Mike from the Fort Washington/Oreland, PA on a Saturday night. Earlier in the day he was getting a headstart on  a pool installation project in his backyard. After a few hours of digging a trench for the water lines he looked down and noticed his 10-year old gold wedding band was no longer on his finger! He searched for a bit but soon realized it was hopeless without the help of a metal detector…after a quick search of internet he found me in the Ring Finders Directory. I came the next day (before the Eagles Super Bowl victory!!!) and met him in his backyard. I brought 2 detectors with me….one with a small search coil to search under shrubs and one with a larger coil to cover a larger search area. After talking to Mike and him pointing out where he thinks the ring most likely fell off (in and around the muddy trench) I set to work around the muddy trench with my 6 inch coil. I had my machine set to just search out just gold ring signals…5 minutes into the search I received a beautiful signal in my headphones…honestly from doing this for so many years…without even looking I was a 100% sure this was his ring. I called Mike over and let him hear the signal and told him there it was…my machine was showing it 2-3 inches beneath the surface of the mud. I bent down and dug a little with my pinpointer and I think Mike and I both saw it at the same time ..there it was!!! Mike was surprised I found it…he thought it was a goner for sure! It’s always thrilling to be successful in a recovery operation and I was very happy I could come through for Mike!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

After the largest snow storm of the year dumped 6 inches of snow in Philadelphia this week…Adeep ventured out to have some fun in the deep snow drifts around his University City apartment. Unfortunately his Iphone slipped out of his pocket while playing around. His “find my iphone” app got him close to the location of the lost phone but it was clearly under the snow somewhere! He found me listed in the Ring Finders directory and several hours later I was there with my metal detector! He pointed out where he was fooling around in the snow….and where the “find my iphone” app was suggesting its location. Less than 10 minutes into search I got the signal I was looking for with my machine…moved aside about 8 inches of snow…and there was his iphone!!! Adeep was surprised and very happy that I was able to locate his lost phone so fast!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Andrew contacted me after a long unsuccessful search for his Mercedes key FOB that fell out of his pocket while sled riding with his kids in his backyard in Narberth, PA. We had about 4 inches of snow and it was obvious to both of us it was probably covered…so wait till spring or I could give it a shot with my  metal detector? I was happy to help him avoid paying an exorbitant amount of $ for a replacement key FOB.
