Lost/Found Gold Ring Wedding Set In Milton, Delaware

On 05/05/26, I received a call from Randy requesting my help in finding a gold ring wedding set that belonged to his wife Carole. Randy said that the wedding set had been lost in the grass at the rear of their residence while Carole was hanging up their wash on the clothes line to dry. Randy said that Carole felt the two rings as they slipped off her finger but upon searching the grass under the clothes line the rings were no where to be found. Upon responding to Randy and Caroles residence I started to search the grass under the clothes line with my metal detector. After a few minutes into the search I determined that the grass so short and dry that if the rings were on the ground it would be possible to see and recover them by searching by eye sight. I determined that the rings were not on the ground under the clothes line. I noticed that Carole had hung up a fitted bed sheet on the clothes line so that it could dry. I grabbed my pin pointer and ran it along the bottom of the fitted sheet at which time my pin pointer began to sound off. The two lost rings had slid off of Caroles finger and landed in the bottom of the fitted sheet, Carole removed the rings from the sheet and placed them back on her finger where they belonged.

Lost Diamond/Gold Tennis Bracelet Found In Bethany Beach, Delaware

On 12/29/25, I received a call from Amy regarding her lost diamond/gold tennis bracelet. Amy said that on 10/11/25, she had walked out the front door of her residence at about 1:30 am when her tennis bracelet got caught on the storm door handle. The tennis bracelet broke and came off of her wrist. Amy believed that the bracelet had flung off her wrist in the dark and had landed in the leaf litter on the ground in the front of her deck. Amy asked if I would search the leaf litter in front of her deck with my metal detector for her bracelet. I agreed to meet Amy on 12/30/25 to conduct the search. Upon my arrival at Amys home I searched the leaf litter with my metal detector and I did not find the bracelet. The search was continued as Amy used a rake to pulled leaf litter out from under her deck and I used a pin pointer to conduct a search of it. The bracelet was still nowhere to be found. I then used a flashlight to look through some of the small spaces in between the deck boards. After looking through a second space to the ground under the deck I saw the shimmer of the diamond and gold bracelet. I called to Amy who was in the house to let her know that her cherished bracelet had been found. It appears that when the bracelet came off of Amys wrist it fell straight down to the deck and slid in between a space between two deck boards and then fell to the ground underneath.  The deck was to low to the ground for me to be able to crawl under it so Amy crawled under the deck and retrieved her lost bracelet. The bracelet was located under the deck about 10′ from the front of the deck.

Yellow Gold Mans Wedding Band Lost/Found At Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

I received a call regarding a lost yellow gold mans wedding band (with 10-27-23 engraved inside) on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The ring was lost on 07/20/24, while James was enjoying a day at the beach. James had placed his treasured ring in a zippered bag for safe keeping, when he decided to put his ring back on his finger he found that it was no longer in the bag. There had been several people who were going in and out of the bag so James felt that the ring had fallen out of the bag and into the sand. I was given the possible location of the lost ring as being on the beach south of Prospect Street at the South end of Rehoboth boardwalk and about three quarters of the way out towards the water. I searched the area for about an hour and a half with no luck in finding the ring. With the ring being lost in the sand for six days prior to my searching for it I felt that the sand rake had gotten it and moved it or that it had been found by someone else with a metal detector. Feeling that I had done my best to find the ring, I began to walk back to the boardwalk while still swinging my metal detector, I all of a sudden heard a familiar tone in my headset and upon digging the item up I found that it was James lost ring. I then promptly took a photo of the ring and texted the photo to James who was happy to get the news. James was in his home state of Maryland at which time he was attending a wedding. I was told that upon hearing the news of the ring being recovered, everyone at the wedding had asked for my cell number.  James was on his way to Bethany Beach on 07/27/24 so I met him in the parking lot of a local business at which time I reunited him with his lost ring.

I received a call from Scott regarding his lost white gold wedding band that had been lost at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware on the beach. Scott said that he had been throwing a football to his son and that his ring flew off of his finger and landed in the wet sand just as a wave washed over top of it. Scott said that he ran over to try to recover his ring, but the ring disappeared into the sand as the water covered it. The ring had been lost several hours prior to low tide so when I arrived it was actually low tide and the area of the lost ring was just wet sand. Scott showed me the area that he had marked where the ring was lost, I began to check the area and with a few swings of the metal detector the lost ring was found and returned to its rightful owner. A spectator who was watching me recover the ring approached me and gave me a fist bump and the group of people that he was with up on the dry sand of the beach were cheering and clapping.
