LOST GOLD/METEORITE WEDDING BAND NEAR MATTHEWS, NC……FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a call from a friend of this young lady. She told me her friend lost her wedding ring in the backyard. She continued telling the story that she had lost it while playing with a volleyball in the pool. She hit the ball and felt her ring fly off. But they wasn’t sure what direction it flew in.

I asked what the ring was made of and she told me. “Gold and Meteorite” so I wasn’t 100% how that would affect the signal. I arrive at 8 pm and searched and searched. I started my search looking for a VDI range id 27-72. I don’t want to miss it.

After 45 mins went by, I decided to change my setting so I went to 0-72. I made a pass over a spot I had pass previous

I get a 62-64 hit and I wasn’t sure how I missed it, bus nc t I found on my return pass! Now it’s back where it belongs.

LOST TRI-GOLD WEDDING RING AT WHISPERING PINES, NC…..FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I received a referral from The Dive Guys (Alex Cogley-thanks again!) about someone needing a gold ring found over at Whispering Pines!

He got me in contact with Tiz Jefferson and she informed me her husband had lost his tri-gold wedding ring about 6-8 weeks ago while keep an eye out for about 7 kids in a swimming area. He felt it slide off and was like OH NO! They even bought a metal detector and tried to retrieve it themselves.

I set up a date and time with her for today at 5:30. I got to the site at about 5. After scanning the main area for almost an hour with no luck, I decided to expand my search area and I went deeper and in mossy areas for the last 30 mins. Then I get a signal at about 7 feet deep and 2 feet of moss. As I followed my pin-pointer to the target, my finger slipped into a ring and I knew I had finally found his ring!!!

I popped up holding the the ring up high as I swam back to shallower water. At first they didn’t realize I had found the ring, until I removed my mouth believe and said “I found it”!!! They both were so excited and happy to have it back. Before 7pm he had his ring back on his finger!!

After taking my gear off and putting it away, we snapped some photos and Mrs. Jefferson snapped a bunch of me in action!

Thank you for contacting and allowing me to recover your lost ring! I love returning lost items and seeing the excitement and joy from owners as despair turns to relief!

LOST GOLD WEDDING RING IN RIVER NEAR BREVARD, NC….FOUND!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a call from this gentleman “3 month newlywed” saying he had lost his gold ring in the river while floating! I told him as soon as I get off work I’ll make the nearly 4 hour drive to rescue his ring.

I arrive at 5 pm and follow him to the spot. We parked and made a steep decent to the waters edge as we get to the bottom, he said “right here is where I think I lost it”, but he wanted me to start a little higher and work my way down just to make sure. Not a problem!

The water was 1-2 feet deep in spots and I didn’t have my goggles. It was moving pretty good and was colder than I expected. The river and the rocks held many challenges as I made my way down river trying to stay on the path he took, keep my balance, check every spot I could with the @XP deus II and the HF coil! ONLY WOULD’VE WORKED HERE!

After two lures and a signal I couldn’t get to, I get another hit while sitting on a mossy rock trying to find 3rd signal.

I held the pinpointer in my left hand and used my first two fingers. As I followed the vibration to the target, I made two swipes with my fingers and I felt the familiar feeling of a ring slide on my finger!!! It had been found!!!

It was a challenge, but I overcame and adapted to the conditions and not having all my gear!

LOST HUGE GOLD RING IN POND NEAR MAXTON, NC….FOUND!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a call from this gentleman last night about him losing a big gold ring!

Story goes, he was fishing at a highway pond/revisor and when he casted, the ring flew off and into about 2-2.5 feet of water but got swallowed up by the sandy bottom. He and his buddy jumped in trying to find it with no luck and Brian said he would find someone with equipment to come find it. He searched via ChatGPT and it told him to go to Gold Finders where he found me!

We agreed to meet up today after I got off work.

Drove down, met him at the spot, jumped in the water and scanned around. Found three cans then BOOM his big gold ring!

HE WAS SO EXCITED!! He took to IG and recorded a video of me in the water, full gear and his ring!

Love theringfinders.com page and helping folks get their priceless items back!!

FOUND 1973 CLASS RING IN LAKE….RETURNED!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I found this class ring and did the research to try and return it… On 7/15/2026

UPDATE FOUND OWNER OF THE 1973 CLASS RING ON: 7/17/2026

I was able to find the owner of this ring. Turns out the daughter lost it when she was 15 while at a church event. She is 41 now, so it’s been lost for 26 years! We are planning on meeting up next week!!

This was a hard one. There are so many Northeast schools and only two with a Viking mascot. One in FL and one in PA. I had to go to the class of 1973 class page and checked out their class roster and found the only person it could have been. Searched the name on FB. I found a post that had the mom and daughter and I messaged the daughter, after we talked over the phone we confirmed it was the ring she had lost 26 years ago!!!

So glad I was able find it and even more excited that I will be able to return this ring to the family!

UPDATE RETURNED ON: 7/19/2026

I successfully returned the 1973 class ring back to the daughter that lost it 26 years earlier! She is going to surprise her mom with the ring soon.

I loved the research challenge and even more when I found the rightful owner and was able to return it to the family.

LOST 18k GOLD EARRING in CHARLOTTE, NC….. FOUND!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Received a text from this ladies husband saying his wife had lost a very sentimental earring in their yard while spreading mulch and asked if I could help.

After getting the location details, I headed out. I arrived, got the story and began my search. I used her other earring as my example in the program I was using but it wasn’t picking it up very well. After about 50 mins I switched coils and settings and used her other earring as my example again. After a few more mins I found it right where I had started! My first settings and coil wasn’t picking it up very well. Sometimes you have to take a step back, adjust and try again.

She had come out crying at one point so I knew I had to find this earring for her! I could tell it meant so much to her and I wasn’t going to give up until it was found! I told her “All hope isn’t lost, I will give it my all and do my best to get it back to you.”

They both were inside when I found it. So I still had the other earring and some nails. I knocked on the door and she answered and I said “I wanted to give you the other earring and these nails!” But I had both earrings in the mix and the surprise on her face was priceless!!!! She was so emotional, thankful and she went and played the same prank on her husband!

This is why I do this. I love these happy endings that makes my day!!!
