Lost Men’s Wedding Band in Addison County, Vermont

  • from Bristol (Vermont, United States)

On September 24th I received a call at work from Bruce. He got my information from fellow “Ring Finder” Mike Baker as I was closer to Cornwall than him. After a 5 minute conversation I told Bruce I could help out that night around 6:00 after work but only had an hour of light left. I arrived at 6:00 that night and searched the lawn area where Bruce was working in the yard as that was the easiest part of the search. The tricky part of the search was where Bruce was trimming brush and then throwing it onto a pile and then into the woods.
I had no luck. I talked it over with him and said the woods are going to be tricky with all of the standing brush and not able to get good coil swings with it standing. I mentioned trimming the brush back from the lawn to improve the possibility of finding the ring and he said he was going to get it done. I reached out on the 1st of October to see if he was ready for to come back out and he was. After I got done with my responsibilities the morning of 10/3, I went back out to Cornwall and after about 15 minutes of a small grid search of the brush he had cleared I had it! Bruce was very impressed and pleased!
Glad to help Bruce and although I have located several lost rings this was officially my first as a “Ring Finder”!

Soccer Field Madness!!!

  • from Bristol (Vermont, United States)

Success! The Bristol Rec Department reached out to me about assisting them locating 24 corners they put in last year for their soccer fields. They installed screw pins with white whiskers to help with making each year laying out the lines a breeze but a summer of mowing they did not stand up to the test of time.  The 4 smaller fields didn’t take much time at all to locate but the mid-sized field was the troublemaker. Always nice to help my community.

Struck Out…….

Well, I wanted to share that after just 6 hours of going live I received my first call to help locate a lost Brooch. The lady informed me that it could be in her house, car, or local supermarket, but she was also in her yard working and was praying it wasn’t at the supermarket. She lived a half hour away and was a very stormy afternoon. I told her that after checking the radar to see if the storms had passed that I was enroute to her. It wasn’t a large area to cover and in less than an hour I had covered the area completely with no luck of it being there. I was hoping for a slam dunk but only had about a 25% chance it being in the grass. I’m hoping to hear that she finds it in her car or house.

Hello Neighbors! My name is Amos and I am your local detectorist that can help you to recover your freshly lost jewelry or jewelry lost long ago. I’ve been into metal detecting for a long time but not until the last three years has it become more then a hobby. I just recently joined this worldwide group of Detectorists, ‘The Ring Finders” that want to do their best to recover your most treasured possessions. I have already helped numerous friends find keys and rings locally but figured now is the time to help my “Other Neighbors” in Vermont!!  This Photo is from three years ago, my third ring located. I had just switched from the Minelab Equinox to the Manticore. If you notice by the screen, I was just learning the new technology and had not made any adjustments to the machine. Thanks for looking!
